I'm the mother and maker behind Gablewoods Academy.
My best days have been spent around a table with my girls—sewing, baking, creating, learning, and making ordinary days feel a little more beautiful.Â
Gablewoods Academy grew from a desire to make more room for that kind of girlhood — the kind you find in "Anne of Green Gables" and "Little Women" — a place for girls to gather, learn beautiful and useful skills, create with their hands, use their imaginations, and simply enjoy being girls.
This fall, I'm opening my home for the first Gablewoods Academy enrollments here in Susanville. I can't wait to welcome the first Gable Girls around our table.

Gablewoods Academy is a small, home-based academy for girls centered around beautiful, useful, old-fashioned skills. Gable girls will sew, bake, paint, host, embroider, garden, decorate, tablescape and so much more.

An emphasis will be on creating heirloom vintage inspired pieces and learning skills she will be able to use in her future home. Each season will hold beautiful weekly workshops that girls of all ages will be sure to fall in love with.

Classes are held in our home about ten minutes from Susanville up Children’s Road in the woods.
Gablewoods Academy enrollment will be available online.
Enrollment will be limited. A waiting list will be available once class is full.
Tuition is $165 per month and includes approximately 8 Academy hours per/month. All supplies will be included, no additional fees.
Class will be held once per week for 2 hours. Occasionally all Gable Girls will be invited to a Gable Gathering on a Friday evening.
